1993 – to this day

En 1993, while Domaine du Bouchard was still in its infancy, a nature-loving and adventurous family laid the foundations of what would become an iconic place. When Daniel, Nicole, and their daughter Emilie acquired this estate, they were faced with two modest houses, surrounded by wild and lush vegetation, on a hillside.

Upon arrival, Daniel understood that this place had extraordinary potential. With determination and passion, he embarked on significant work to restore and improve the existing buildings, as well as shape the surrounding landscape. The first years were intense, but every stone laid, every tree planted, was a step closer to realizing his dream.

The adventure took an unexpected turn when they received a booking inquiry for a stopover on the Cathar trail by mistake.

It was a group of adventure-seeking riders who had dialed the wrong number, but instead of turning them away, Daniel and Nicole decided to seize this opportunity. They welcomed the lost travelers with warm smiles and invited them to stay at Domaine du Bouchard.

Over the years, Domaine du Bouchard became a meeting place for nature lovers, horse enthusiasts, and travelers in search of authenticity. Thanks to the vision and tenacity of Daniel and Nicole, assisted by their daughter Emilie, this corner of rural paradise continues to thrive, offering all who pass through its doors an unforgettable experience, blending tradition and authenticity in a preserved natural setting.
